Pakistan Announces Fitrana and Fidyah Amounts for Ramadan 2026

The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has announced the minimum rates and nisab for Fitrana (Sadaqatul-Fitr) and Fidyah for the current year.

CII Chairperson Allama Dr. Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi said the minimum amount of Fitrana and Fidyah has been set at Rs. 300 per person, based on wheat flour. For government-subsidized flour, the amount has been fixed at Rs. 200 per person.

According to the announced rates, Fitrana and Fidyah per person are:

  • Wheat flour: Rs. 300
  • Barley: Rs. 1,100
  • Dates: Rs. 1,600
  • Raisins: Rs. 3,800
  • Munqa: Rs. 5,400

Dr. Naeemi said Fitrana is obligatory on every Muslim, regardless of age or gender, and advised those who can afford it to pay according to their financial capacity rather than limiting themselves to the minimum amount.

He clarified that people living outside Punjab should calculate Fitrana and Fidyah according to local market prices in their respective provinces.

The Fidyah for 30 fasts has been fixed as:

  • Wheat: Rs. 9,000
  • Barley: Rs. 33,000
  • Dates: Rs. 48,000
  • Raisins: Rs. 114,000
  • Munqa: Rs. 162,000
  • Government flour: Rs. 6,000

The chairperson added that Kaffarah for intentionally breaking a fast requires either observing 60 consecutive fasts or feeding 60 needy persons two meals each.
