The ownership of the Multan Sultans has been officially decided today following a high-intensity Pakistan Super League (PSL) auction held at the Lahore Expo Center.
Walee Technologies, Led by Group CEO Muhammad Ahsan Tahir, emerged as the winner, securing the franchise with a final bid of Rs. 2,450,000,000, the highest bid in PSL history.
The auction commenced with a set base price of Rs. 1,820,000,000, drawing a competitive field of prominent business leaders and tech innovators.
The auction was conducted under a strict professional framework. All offers were quoted in Pakistani rupees, with a mandatory minimum increment of Rs. 1 crore over the base price and previous bids. While there was no upper limit on how high the price could go, the rules ensured a steady and transparent climb in valuation.
To manage the high-pressure environment, each bidder was granted a single strategic timeout of up to five minutes. These intervals allowed for internal consultation with representatives, though communication with rival bidders remained strictly prohibited.
The round reached its conclusion when the highest offer stood unchallenged. Following the auctioneer’s final call, Walee Technologies was provisionally declared the winner, having provided the highest valid bid above the base price.
