Sialkot Stallionz Set to Reveal Team Captain Ahead of PSL 11

Sialkot’s newest Pakistan Super League franchise, Sialkot Stallionz, has officially confirmed that it will unveil its first-ever team captain on 12 February.

The announcement sets up a major milestone for the franchise as it prepares for its inaugural campaign in PSL 11, scheduled from 26 March to 3 May 2026.

The Stallionz are one of two expansion teams joining the league this year after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) expanded the PSL from six to eight franchises.

Owned by real estate group OZ Developers, led by Hamza Majeed and Kamil Khan, the team was acquired in a high-profile auction in January for Rs. 1.85 billion.

Ahead of the captaincy reveal, the Stallionz have already made significant moves to build a competitive roster and support structure.

The franchise secured four core retentions, Mohammad Nawaz, Salman Mirza, Ahmed Daniyal and Saad Masood across Platinum, Diamond, Gold and Emerging categories, committing more than Rs. 131 million before the players auction.

International star power has also been added with the direct signing of former Australia captain Steve Smith, who will make his PSL debut for Sialkot.

Off the field, the Stallionz appointed former Australian skipper Tim Paine as head coach, bringing seasoned cricket leadership to guide the team’s first campaign and contribute to strategic decisions, including the captaincy choice.

With the PSL players auction behind them and preparations in full swing, the Stallionz’s captain announcement is now among the most anticipated moments of the early PSL build-up, as fans and analysts alike await who will lead the franchise in its historic debut.
