ISPR Issues Update on Ex-COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa’s Health

Former Chief of Army Staff General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa sustained injuries after slipping and falling at his residence, according to an update issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, ISPR confirmed that the former army chief was injured due to a fall at home and is currently receiving medical treatment at the Combined Military Hospital.

Additional details were shared in a video posted on X by Bajwa’s brother-in-law, Naeem Ghumman. He said General Bajwa was barefoot when he slipped and suffered a head injury.

Following the incident, he was shifted to CMH for immediate medical care.
Ghumman said doctors conducted multiple medical tests after his admission to the hospital. He added that the former army chief is “100% out of danger” and that no suspicious findings emerged during the examination.

Officials did not provide further information regarding the nature of the injury or the expected duration of his hospital stay.
