KP Govt Introduces New Rules to Protect Female Students

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Department has imposed a ban on male faculty members holding one-on-one meetings with female students in their offices across all public sector universities in the province.

In a letter issued from Peshawar, the department directed universities to nominate at least one female faculty member in every department to address and resolve complaints and issues faced by female students.

According to the notification, the designated female faculty member will serve as a focal point to ensure female students have a safe, accessible platform to raise concerns.

Officials said the measures aim to strengthen safeguards for female students and promote a safer academic environment in higher education institutions.
