Punjab Introduces One App for Traffic E-Challan System

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the Digital Traffic E-Challan “One App” to strengthen traffic enforcement and improve transparency across the province.

The new system will store video evidence of traffic violations in a secure digital format, allowing authorities to verify incidents when needed. Traffic officials will also be able to check identity cards, driving licenses, and stolen vehicle records instantly during roadside inspections.

The application provides real-time verification of vehicle ownership, fitness certificates, and route permits. Officials say the system will help streamline enforcement by giving field officers immediate access to essential data.

In addition to traffic violations, the app will support digital action against encroachments and environmental breaches. Authorities will also be able to review e-challan records, FIR status, and criminal history through the integrated platform.
