In line with the vision of the Prime Minister and the Federal Minister for Interior, and on the directions of the Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), the authority has achieved another significant milestone by formally launching regular digital processing of property-related matters.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa inaugurated the facility on Thursday in the presence of Member Administration and Estate, Member Engineering, Member Environment, relevant officers, and a large number of citizens.
In the first phase, the CDA has initiated full digital processing of properties in Sector D-12. The Chairman was given a comprehensive demonstration and briefing on the new digital system. According to the briefing, this step marks CDA’s first formal transition from the traditional filing system to a structured and modern digital workflow system.
Under the new system, every application submitted at the One Window Counter for Sector D-12 will now be processed electronically. Applications related to Sector D-12 properties submitted at the CDA One Window Facilitation Center and the Asaan Khidmat Center will be handled under the new mechanism.
The digital workflow will pass through various stages to ensure transparency, speed, and accountability. One of the key features of the new system is real-time online tracking of applications. Applicants will be able to check the status of their case and the stage of processing at any time.
The reduction in manual intervention is expected to minimize delays, strengthen departmental accountability, and help in the swift disposal of property cases. All land records have been securely digitized, reducing the risk of data loss while improving coordination among different departments.
The automation system is also expected to reduce human errors and enhance service delivery. Senior officers will be able to monitor case processing within defined timelines effectively.
All payments under the new system will be cashless, with digital transactions monitored in real time. The cashless payment mechanism has been developed by the CDA using its in-house resources. Initially, the digital system has been made operational only for Sector D-12, but other sectors will gradually be included to ensure quality, transparent, and timely services for citizens.
The system will enable citizens to access all relevant information with a single click. Chairman CDA appreciated the efforts of the officers and stated that the initiative represents a major step toward promoting e-governance in service delivery in line with the Prime Minister’s and Interior Minister’s vision.
He added that these measures will improve institutional performance and help eliminate corruption and delays. During the visit, the Chairman also sought feedback from citizens at the One Window Facilitation Center, where visitors appreciated the initiative and called for the early implementation of similar systems in other sectors. The Chairman reiterated that the objective is to ensure the provision of the best possible facilities to the citizens of Islamabad.
