UAE Stops Issuance of Another Visa Category for Pakistanis

UAE immigration has temporarily suspended 48-hour and 96-hour transit visas for Pakistani nationals, according to a notice displayed on the VFS Global portal for Emirates visa services.

The information bar on the portal states that transit visas in the 48-hour and 96-hour categories are currently unavailable for Pakistani passport holders. Applicants have been advised not to apply under these categories until further notice.

The message appears on the VFS Global platform that processes UAE visa applications in collaboration with Emirates. The notice does not specify the reason for the temporary suspension or indicate how long the restriction will remain in place.

Transit visas are typically issued to passengers traveling through the United Arab Emirates en route to another destination, allowing short stays of up to two or four days. The temporary halt may affect travelers planning brief stopovers in Dubai or other UAE cities.

No separate statement has yet been issued publicly by UAE authorities detailing the policy change. Applicants are advised to check official channels, including the Emirates website and the VFS Global UAE portal, for the latest updates before making travel arrangements.
