The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace has issued bailable arrest warrants against senior officials of the Capital Development Authority in a case involving the enforcement of women’s property rights.
The warrants, valued at Rs. 100,000 each with one surety, were issued against the Director Land and Rehabilitation, Sardar Muhammad Asif, and Admin Officer Abdul Malik after they failed to appear before the authority and did not submit a required report despite repeated directions.
The case was filed by Ms. Musarrat Bibi, who has claimed her share in six kanals of inherited land located in Mouza Khanna Dak, Islamabad. The Ombudsperson noted continued non-compliance by the CDA officials during the proceedings.
The warrants have been issued through the local police, directing the SHO of Aabpara Police Station to ensure the personal appearance of the officials along with a detailed report.
The matter has been fixed for hearing on February 18, 2026 at 10:00 am, where the officials are required to present themselves before the Ombudsperson.
Copies of the order have also been sent to the CDA Chairman and Director General Law for further action, as the case proceeds under the Enforcement of Women’s Property Rights Act, 2020.
