Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, has ordered the release of 1,856 prisoners ahead of Ramadan.
According to government officials in Dubai, the decision aims to allow inmates to reintegrate into society and allow families to reunite during the holy month.
Authorities have directed relevant departments to complete legal procedures immediately to ensure the swift release of those granted pardon.
