The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority in Lahore released the official date sheet for the Grade 8 Annual Examination 2026, outlining a four day schedule that will begin in March.
According to the schedule issued by the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority, Grade 8 examinations will start on March 9, 2026, and continue through March 12, 2026. All papers will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The examination will open with Mathematics on Monday, March 9. Students will sit for the Urdu paper on Tuesday, March 10, followed by English on Wednesday, March 11. The final paper, Science, will be held on Thursday, March 12.
The authority stated that schools will conduct all other Grade 8 papers themselves by using the IBS facility under the School Based Assessment model. It added that it will share the schedule for the remaining subjects along with the End of Year Term Assessment 2026 for other grades.
In its instructions to candidates, the authority prohibited students from bringing calculators, mobile phones, smart watches, or any other electronic devices into the examination center. It directed candidates to reach the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the start of the paper.
Students must present their B Form and roll number slip to gain entry to the center. The authority also instructed candidates to bring a blue or black ballpoint pen and a clipboard. Those appearing in the Mathematics paper must bring their own geometry box.
The authority further directed students to use only the provided answer booklet for both objective and subjective sections and stated that it will not issue any additional sheets. It also barred candidates from leaving the examination hall before the paper concludes.
