Islamabad Police has issued a clarification after a journalist reported that police had shut down all bus terminals at Faizabad due to security concerns.
In its official response, Islamabad Police stated that bus stands were not closed because of security threats. The department clarified that action is being taken only against those terminals that are violating standard operating procedures.
Police said some bus stands are not registering on the software system provided by Islamabad Police. The department also stated that certain terminals have not installed walk through gates as required.

Islamabad Police confirmed that authorities are proceeding with legal action against bus stands that fail to comply with these requirements.
