The School Education Department, Punjab, has revised the reporting mechanism for Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) across the province.
According to a notification issued by the department, AEOs will now report directly to the Director General of Monitoring and Evaluation instead of the previous administrative setup.
Officials stated that the move aims to strengthen the monitoring system of educational institutions and improve oversight.
AEOs will continue supervising public schools as well as institutions operating under the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and the Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA).
All Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the new orders.
The department has also instructed administrative officers to submit implementation reports within the stipulated timeframe to ensure transparency and effectiveness in the monitoring process.
