FIA Arrests Woman Allegedly Involved in Unethical Activities in Saudi Arabia

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a woman at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after she was deported from Saudi Arabia, where she was allegedly linked to unethical/immoral activities.

FIA Immigration officials said the woman, Gulshan Bibi, belongs to Bahawalpur and was taken into custody immediately after landing. The agency launched a closer inquiry after noticing what it described as unusual and suspicious conduct during the immigration process.

During questioning, the woman reportedly told investigators that her travel abroad was arranged through a Faisalabad-based agent, Tayyab Ali, and claimed she was later handed over to a structured human trafficking/smuggling network after reaching Saudi Arabia.

Officials further said Saudi authorities had arrested and penalized her before deporting her back to Pakistan. The FIA has now placed her in custody to proceed with legal action and expand the investigation.

The agency added that operations are ongoing to track down and arrest other individuals believed to be involved in facilitating the alleged human smuggling ring.
