The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has digitized the process for issuing learner driving licenses for LTV and HTV transport vehicles, making the service fully online.
The system has been developed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board in coordination with the Transport Directorate and the Transport and Mass Transit Department. Authorities have launched the service through the Dastak mobile application.
Citizens can now apply from home for learner licenses for LTV and HTV transport vehicles, as well as tractors, rickshaws, and road rollers. The digital system includes online biometric verification and electronic payment of fees, removing the need to visit transport offices.
After completing the required steps, applicants receive their learner license in the form of a digital certificate.
The provincial government states that the initiative aims to improve transparency, reduce procedural delays, and deliver public services at the doorstep. The move forms part of broader efforts to modernize service delivery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through digital platforms.
