Oppo A6 Series Receives 4 New Models With Price Tags Below $250 And 7,500 mAh Batteries

Oppo has added four more devices under its A6 branding in China: the Oppo A6 (PLS120), Oppo A6s (PLT120), Oppo A6i+ (PLT120), and Oppo A6v (PLT130). While the names are similar, the hardware varies across models, particularly in display type, charging speeds, selfie cameras, and durability ratings.

Design and Display

The Oppo A6 (PLS120) features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution. This panel replaces the 6.75-inch 720p+ IPS LCD used on the global A6. It also introduces an optical under-display fingerprint scanner instead of a side-mounted sensor. The device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Color options include Velvet Gray, Blue Ocean Glow, and Pink Dream Blossoms.

The Oppo A6s (PLT120) uses a 6.75-inch 720p+ LCD panel, similar to the global A6s. It retains IP68 and IP69 certification. It is available in Twilight Blue, Seashell White, and Dawn Gold.

The Oppo A6i+ (PLT120) shares the same model number as the A6s and uses the same 6.75-inch 720p+ LCD. It comes in Glacier White and Chestnut Brown.

The Oppo A6v (PLT130) also features a 6.75-inch 720p+ LCD but drops to an IP64 rating. It is offered in Glacier Blue, Titanium Purple, and Wilderness Green.

Internals and Software

All four models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.

• The Oppo A6 (PLS120) is available in 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB configurations. It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage and includes a microSD card slot.
• The Oppo A6s (PLT120) comes in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants, also using LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage with microSD expansion.
• The Oppo A6i+ (PLT120) mirrors the A6s in hardware and memory options, with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage available.
• The Oppo A6v (PLT130) continues with the same Dimensity 6300 platform, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage, along with a microSD slot.

Cameras

• The Oppo A6 (PLS120) features a 50MP main rear camera paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. The front camera is upgraded to 16MP. Video recording is limited to 1080p at 60fps.
• The Oppo A6s (PLT120) also includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary lens, but reduces the selfie camera to 8MP. Video recording remains capped at 1080p at 60fps.
• The Oppo A6i+ (PLT120) shares the same rear and front camera configuration as the A6s.
• The Oppo A6v (PLT130) keeps the 50MP + 2MP rear setup but lowers the selfie camera further to 5MP. Video recording is still limited to 1080p at 60fps.

The Oppo A6 (PLS120) includes a 7,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging and 44W PPS support.
