Samsung’s latest Galaxy Unpacked event has brought us the Galaxy S26 lineup, including the base S26, the S26+, and the S26 Ultra. All phones in the series include little to no changes in terms of hardware, only a few upgrades in AI smarts, and a new and improved chip.
In short, we’re only getting new software and AI features mostly for a higher price tag. All Pakistani prices are given below.
The Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It maintains slim bezels and a centered hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The device measures 149.6 × 71.7 × 7.2 mm and weighs 137 grams.
The Galaxy S26+ includes a larger 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with QHD+ resolution and the same 120Hz refresh rate. Its dimensions are 158.4 × 75.8 × 7.3 mm, and it weighs 190 grams.
Both phones introduce a revised rear camera layout with a more pronounced camera module. Both devices will be available in White, Blue, Black, and Purple.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S26 series with different chipsets depending on the region. Some markets receive the Exynos 2600 processor, built on a 2nm manufacturing process, while others get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform.
Samsung claims both the Snapdragon and Exynos chips have faster CPU, GPU, and especially NPUs, which should improve the performance of AI features onboard, as we have mentioned later.
Both devices ship with Android 16 and Samsung’s One UI 8.5 interface. Base configurations start at 256GB of storage with at least 12GB of RAM.
Samsung expands its Galaxy AI platform across the lineup. The devices support multiple AI assistants, including Bixby and Google Gemini, and you also get support for Perplexity AI now. Bixby, as well as other AI assistants, now let you control the phone’s settings through AI.
Thanks to the upgraded chips, Samsung claims voice commands are processed nearly twice as fast, while tasks such as call transcription and AI Eraser functions take roughly half the time. Samsung says the S26 series is built with an “agentic AI” focus, embedding smart assistance across the user interface.
Now Nudge can remind users of previous commitments during chats and suggest relevant photos to share while making plans. Another feature, “Now Brief,” is powered by the Personal Data Engine, which analyzes notifications, messages, and emails to identify appointments even if they are not manually added to a calendar.
The latest version of One UI also improves content organization. Screenshots are automatically sorted into eight categories, including shopping, boarding passes, events, locations, and chats. A built-in document scanner goes beyond basic OCR by preserving formatting and images when copying documents.
Samsung has also expanded its Call Screening feature, which can automatically answer unknown calls, identify the caller’s purpose, and display a live on-screen transcription. Audio Eraser, designed to reduce background noise and enhance dialogue, is now available in third-party apps such as YouTube, Netflix, and Instagram.
The Galaxy S26 and S26+ feature a triple rear camera system. The setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. On the front, both devices are expected to use a 12MP selfie camera.
Camera features have also received AI-focused upgrades. Auto Framing can crop 8K video in real time to produce well-framed 4K footage, while Super Steady Video introduces a 360-degree horizontal lock that keeps videos level regardless of phone movement. For selfies, Samsung has added an enhanced AI image signal processor with an Object-Aware Engine to improve image quality.
The Galaxy S26 includes a 4,300 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. The Galaxy S26+ is equipped with a larger 4,900 mAh battery. It also supports wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
The vanilla Samsung Galaxy S26 is available in 256GB and 512GB storage options, both of which have 12GB RAM. Here are the prices for each:
