Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro alongside the new Galaxy S26 series. The company said user research showed that 58% of customers use earbuds daily, with sound quality ranking as the top priority. Comfort and portability were also key considerations, as most users rely on a single pair of earbuds for all activities.
Design and Controls
Samsung redesigned the charging case so the earbuds now rest flat inside, making them easier to remove and store. The case retains its transparent lid, allowing users to see the updated design. The Galaxy Buds4 are available in Black and White. The Galaxy Buds4 Pro come in Black and White, with an online-exclusive Pink Gold option.
The previous triangular stems have been replaced with flat blades made from brushed metal. The touch-sensitive area is engraved to make it easier to locate by feel. The blades support pinch and swipe gestures for playback and volume control.
Audio Performance
The Galaxy Buds4 Pro feature an upgraded two-way speaker system with a larger woofer and tweeter. Samsung says the new speakers are nearly 20% bigger than those in the Buds3 Pro. The Pro model supports playback up to 24-bit 96kHz Hi-Fi audio.
The standard Galaxy Buds4 use an open design aimed at improving long-term comfort. However, open designs typically provide weaker active noise cancellation compared to sealed models.
Both versions include Enhanced Adaptive ANC, which adjusts noise reduction based on surroundings. For example, engine noise can be reduced while important sounds such as sirens are amplified.
Super Clear Call technology delivers 16kHz call audio and applies strong noise reduction for clearer conversations.
Smart Features and Galaxy Integration
The earbuds are compatible with any smartphone. However, Galaxy device users receive additional integration features. The Buds4 can connect to a Galaxy phone without installing a separate app. Controls appear in the Quick Panel, including volume adjustment, ANC toggles, and ambient sound controls.
The earbuds support hands-free head gestures. Users can nod to accept a call or shake their head to reject it. Bixby can also be activated for voice commands, including smart home controls.
An Interpreter feature provides real-time translation across multiple languages.
Pricing and Availability
Both models will be available starting March 11, coinciding with the release date of the Galaxy S26 series.
The Galaxy Buds4 are priced at $180, while the Galaxy Buds4 Pro cost $250. Pricing remains the same as the Buds3 and Buds3 Pro.
