Pakistan will launch its first Hajj flight on April 18, marking the start of the country’s annual pilgrimage operation for Hajj, sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony said.
Under the government Hajj scheme, around 119,000 pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia through 468 flights during the operation.
On the first day, four flights will depart from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot and Multan, carrying pilgrims to Medina.
Officials said the pilgrims will be informed about their respective flight schedules next week. The government scheme will facilitate travel for Pakistani pilgrims to both Medina and Mecca during the pilgrimage season.
