Sindh to Establish Special Task Force to Curb Illegal Mining

The Sindh government has decided to establish a special task force to prevent illegal mining across the province.

The decision was made during an important meeting of the Mines and Minerals Development Department, chaired by Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Sindh’s Minister for Education and Mines & Minerals Development.

During the meeting, officials conducted a detailed review of illegal mining activities across the province and discussed effective measures to prevent and control such practices.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Mines and Minerals Raja Shah Zaman Khuhro, Director General Mines and Minerals Mahesh Lal Dodani, and other relevant officials.

Officials from the Mines and Minerals Department briefed participants on ongoing actions being taken against illegal mining and the unlawful transportation of minerals.

A detailed presentation was also given on illegal mining activities in several districts, including Karachi’s District Malir, Jamshoro, Nagarparkar, and Thatta, along with the measures currently being implemented to address the issue.

On the occasion, Provincial Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah directed authorities to take strict and immediate steps to eliminate illegal mining throughout Sindh.

He stated that no one would be allowed to engage in illegal mining in the province and warned that legal action would be taken against anyone found violating the law.

The meeting concluded with the decision to establish a special task force dedicated to eliminating illegal mining across the province. The task force will take effective steps to prevent illegal activities in different districts.

The minister also directed officials to utilize all available resources to ensure the effectiveness of the task force.
