Pakistan Temporarily Halts Hajj Flight Schedule Amid Regional Tensions

Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has temporarily suspended the preparation of the Hajj flight schedule while it reviews the tense regional situation arising from potential attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel.

According to official sources, the current geopolitical conditions could affect the flight schedule for Hajj operations. Officials said the schedule will be finalized while taking the evolving situation into account.

Despite the possible delay in the flight schedule, the process of issuing visas for Hajj pilgrims has already begun and is continuing around the clock. Sources said that two-thirds of the pilgrims have already been issued visas.

Work on issuing visas for approximately 120,000 pilgrims continued even during the weekend. In order to speed up the process, the ministry canceled the weekend holidays of its staff so that visa issuance could proceed without interruption.

Sources from the Ministry of Religious Affairs also said that preparations for the overall Hajj schedule are moving forward rapidly. There is a strong possibility that the complete Hajj schedule will be released before Eid al-Fitr.

The upcoming schedule will include the Hajj flight timetable, building bookings, room allocations, and other logistical arrangements. Once finalized, the information will be made available to pilgrims through the ministry’s official website and the Pak Hajj mobile application.

Officials also confirmed that the second phase of training for Hajj pilgrims will begin immediately after Eid al-Fitr. Training materials and the schedule for this phase have already been prepared.
