Remittances Sent by Overseas Pakistanis Jump 5% to $3.3 Billion in February 2026

Pakistan received $3.3 billion in overseas workers’ remittances in February 2026, showing a 5.2 percent year on year (YoY) growth as compared with $3.1 billion received in February 2025.

However, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, inflows declined by 5 percent from $3.46 billion in January 2026.

The State Bank of Pakistan data showed remittances during the first eight months of FY26 (8MFY26) rose 1o percent YoY to $26.5 billion, supported by strong inflows from the Saudi Arabia, the UK and UAE.

Country-wise data shows UAE remained the largest source, with inflows of $686 million in February 2026, up 6 percent YoY. Remittances from Saudi Arabia fell by 8 percent YoY to $685 million, while inflows from the UK jumped 7 percent YoY to $532 million.

Contributions from EU countries surged 15 percent YoY to $395 million.

Remittances from the US increased by 3 percent YoY to $319 million, while inflows from other regions climbed 29 percent YoY to $342 million. Overall, total remittances in February 2026 stood at $3.288 billion, compared with $3.127 billion a year earlier.

During 8MFY26, inflows from UAE increased to $5.44 billion, up 12 percent YoY, while remittances from Saudi Arabia rose 5 percent YoY to $6.16 billion. The UK and EU also posted strong growth of 13 percent and 23 percent YoY, respectively.
