Bykea and Taxi Booking Are Moving to Islamabad Police App

The registration process for Bykea and taxi drivers in the federal capital will shift from the district administration’s system to the Islamabad Police Taxi Verification App. According to the district administration, the change follows coordinated efforts between district authorities and the Islamabad Police to streamline and secure the registration procedure for drivers operating in the city.

Under the new system, drivers and passengers will be able to upload data directly through the taxi verification app. Once registered, drivers will be required to display a QR code on their screens, allowing passengers to instantly verify their identity and credentials. Authorities have emphasized that each ride and travel information must be properly recorded by the driver.

The taxi verification app is available for download through the Google Play Store, enabling drivers to register and comply with the new system. The administration said the initiative will enhance passenger safety by providing real-time verification of drivers before and during each trip.
