Two-Hour Flight Suspension Announced at Islamabad Airport

Flight operations at Islamabad International Airport will remain temporarily suspended for two hours on March 17 due to operational reasons, according to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

The authority said flight operations at the airport will remain suspended from 08:30 AM to 10:30 AM (Pakistan Standard Time). Airspace restrictions will also apply to certain routes within the Lahore Flight Information Region during the same period.

The announcement comes after a similar notice issued earlier for March 16 was cancelled. In that earlier notice, PAA had announced temporary airspace restrictions in the Lahore Flight Information Region along with a suspension of flight operations at Islamabad International Airport during the same two-hour window.

However, the authority later issued an update cancelling the March 16 notice and confirmed that normal flight operations would continue. Passengers have been advised to check with their respective airlines for updates regarding their flights.
