The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall in Karachi around Eid-ul-Fitr, which could bring relief from the intense heat currently affecting the city.
According to the department, hot weather conditions are expected to continue in Karachi for now. Officials said the weather will remain hot and dry today, with temperatures likely to reach 38 degrees Celsius.
The PMD reported that the city’s sky is partly cloudy. However, due to high humidity levels, the weather is being felt as more humid and uncomfortable. Strong sunshine during the daytime is also expected to increase the intensity of the heat.
The Meteorological Department further stated that a new western weather system is expected to influence weather conditions across the country. As a result, there is a strong possibility of rainfall in Karachi around Eid-ul-Fitr, which may reduce the ongoing heat.
The department also said that intermittent rain is expected in various districts of Sindh between March 17 and March 27.
Weather experts added that the effects of the incoming western system will begin to appear in the coming days, bringing more pleasant weather to many parts of the country, including Karachi.
