Facebook has announced a new initiative called “Creator Fast Track,” aimed at helping creators grow their presence on the platform through guaranteed monthyl earnings and increased content visibility.
The company also said it paid nearly $3 billion to creators through its monetization programs, representing a 35% increase year over year and its highest annual payout to date.
Program Targets Established Creators
The Creator Fast Track program is designed to attract creators who already have audiences on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. It allows them to expand onto Facebook without starting from zero.
Participants will receive increased reach on eligible Reels to accelerate audience growth, along with three months of guaranteed payments for posting content.
Creators with at least 100,000 followers on other platforms can earn $1,000 per month, while those with more than one million followers can receive $3,000 per month.
Access to Monetization Tools
The program also provides immediate access to Facebook’s monetization features, without requiring creators to meet standard eligibility criteria such as minimum follower thresholds.
This means participants can continue earning from their content even after the three-month guaranteed payment period ends.
Facebook said it will continue to support creators beyond the initial program if they need more time to build an audience, including maintaining boosted reach until they establish a following.
Content Requirements
Creators do not need to produce entirely new content to participate. Existing content can be reused, including previously published videos, as long as it meets the program’s requirements.
Facebook said this approach responds to feedback from creators who were hesitant to invest time in building a new audience on the platform.
Creator Earnings
The company said the number of creators earning more than $10,000 annually on Facebook has increased by over 30% compared to the previous year.
It also noted that 60% of total payouts last year came from Reels, with the remaining earnings generated through Stories, photos, and text posts.
New Metrics for Transparency
Facebook is introducing new performance metrics to help creators better understand their earnings.
The “qualified views” metric will show how many views are eligible for monetization, while the “earnings rate” will estimate revenue per 1,000 qualified views.
Additionally, a “non-qualified views” metric will explain why certain views do not generate earnings and provide guidance on how creators can improve performance.
