Zong has officially launched its 5G services across more than 16 cities in Pakistan, shortly after a successful 5G spectrum auction.
The rollout includes key cities such as Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta, with services now live in multiple urban centers.
The launch comes after Zong secured its 5G license, marking a major milestone in Pakistan’s digital evolution. The company plans to deploy and upgrade over 1,000 5G sites nationwide in 2026, aiming to expand high-speed connectivity and enhance digital services across the country.
Zong’s 5G rollout builds on its pioneering efforts since 2019, when it conducted Pakistan’s first 5G trial. The company has already demonstrated speeds exceeding 1.4Gbps in trials.
