Gold in Pakistan took a sharp dip on Friday, mirroring the big slump in global markets which saw bullion drop near $4,500 per ounce.
The price of one tola fell by Rs. 8,100 to Rs. 491,362, while 10 grams dropped Rs. 6,945 to Rs. 421,263, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Thursday, gold plunged to Rs. 499,462 per tola after losing Rs. 24,300 during the session.
The international market, meanwhile, saw gold prices decline by $81, bringing the rate to $4,6866 per ounce, with an additional $20 premium.
Silver also depreciated after losing Rs. 50 to settle at Rs. 7,684 per tola.
