Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has responded to reports circulating about a possible extension of school holidays across the province, following growing speculation on social media.
In a statement, he said that no decision has been taken so far regarding any extension and urged the public to avoid relying on unverified information.
The clarification comes as a proposal is under consideration to extend holidays for educational institutions until April 15 in view of the ongoing energy situation.
Officials had also recommended introducing a hybrid learning system alongside extended closures to ensure continuity of education.
However, no final approval has been granted on these proposals so far, and the government has yet to make any formal announcement regarding changes to the academic schedule.
