The Kuwait National Guard has reassured residents that radiation from neighboring countries does not pose any threat to Kuwait, following concerns linked to ongoing regional developments.
In a statement shared on social media along with a video message, the National Guard confirmed that the country remains safe and that monitoring systems show no signs of radioactive risk.
Authorities explained that the nearest advanced nuclear reactor is located more than 240 kilometers from Kuwait, a distance considered sufficient to significantly reduce any potential radiation impact.
Officials added that most radioactive materials would dissipate before reaching Kuwait’s borders, ensuring the country remains unaffected.
The National Guard emphasized that all necessary precautionary measures are already in place to protect public safety.
Residents, including both citizens and expatriates, were urged to remain calm and avoid unnecessary panic during the current period of regional uncertainty.
