The divisional coordination committee has directed deputy commissioners of Rawalpindi, Attock, Murree, Chakwal, and Jhelum to complete ongoing development projects before the end of the current fiscal year on June 30.
The committee also instructed district administrations to finalize beautification plans and begin work without delay. Authorities have been asked to submit proposals aimed at improving the transport system so that new initiatives can be launched within the fiscal year.
The meeting, chaired by Rawalpindi Commissioner Abdul Aamer Khattak, was attended by deputy commissioners through a video link. He directed district administrations to ensure timely completion of development schemes.
Khattak said work is underway on sanitation, street lighting, road repairs, and sewerage improvements. He added that efforts to develop a modern transport system in Rawalpindi division are in progress, stressing the need to identify measures that provide public relief.
He also directed deputy commissioners and heads of health and education departments to conduct regular visits to hospitals and schools. Authorities have been asked to ensure daily monitoring of examination centers to maintain transparency in SSC exams.
