The Pakistan Airports Authority has issued fresh directives to all international airlines in response to the ongoing global fuel crisis, urging carriers to adopt precautionary measures to avoid disruptions.
According to the advisory, the supply chain for Jet A-1 fuel has been affected, prompting authorities to instruct airlines to carry additional fuel when departing from foreign destinations bound for Pakistan.
Airlines have also been directed to minimize fuel uplift within Pakistan, as authorities attempt to manage limited resources more efficiently during the crisis period.
The instructions will remain in effect until April 15, 2026, with strict compliance expected from all international carriers operating flights to and from the country.
Officials believe that these temporary measures will help ensure smoother flight operations while mitigating the impact of supply chain disruptions on Pakistan’s aviation sector.
