Xiaomi has quietly introduced the Redmi A7 Pro in Italy and Indonesia, expanding its entry-level lineup with a device that focuses on battery life and basic functionality.
The Redmi A7 Pro closely resembles the Redmi A5 and Poco C71 but differs by running full Android 16 with HyperOS 3 instead of the lighter Go Edition used on those models.
Design and Display
The Redmi A7 Pro features a 6.9-inch LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels. The display supports up to 800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode and includes DC dimming.
There is no official water resistance rating, though the touchscreen can be used with wet fingers.
The phone measures 171.6 x 79.5 x 8.15mm and weighs 208g. It is available in Black, Mist Blue, Palm Green, and Sunset Orange, with the last option limited to Indonesia. The device includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Internals and Software
The Redmi A7 Pro is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, built on a 12nm process. It supports only 4G connectivity with dual standby.
The phone comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A microSD card slot is available for additional storage. It runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3, distinguishing it from similar models that use Android Go Edition.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and positioning support through GPS (L1), GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. NFC is not included.
Cameras
The Redmi A7 Pro features a 13MP rear camera with a 1/3.06-inch sensor and an f/2.2 lens. It supports 1080p video recording at 30fps.
On the front, the phone includes an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 lens, also capable of 1080p video recording at 30fps.
Battery and Pricing
The device is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can deliver nearly 2.5 days of regular use. It can provide up to 35 hours of video playback or 77 hours of music playback on a single charge.
The battery supports 15W charging and is rated for 1,000 charge cycles.
In Italy, the 4GB/64GB model is priced at €130, while the 128GB version costs €150. In Indonesia, pricing is set at IDR 1,650,000 and IDR 1,800,000, respectively. Xiaomi is also offering two months of Spotify Premium with the device.
The Redmi A7 Pro is currently available in these markets, with no information on a non-Pro Redmi A7 model.
