Honor Play 80 has been launched in China as part of Honor’s Play 80 series, following the earlier introduction of the Pro variant. The device is aimed at the entry-level segment, offering 5G connectivity, a large display, and multiple memory configurations.
The Honor Play 80 features a 6.75-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate, providing smoother scrolling compared to standard 60Hz panels.
The phone measures 167 x 77 x 7.89mm and weighs 186 grams, making it slimmer and lighter than the Pro model. It is available in two blue color options as well as a black variant.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which enables 5G connectivity and is designed to handle everyday tasks with moderate performance.
The Honor Play 80 is offered in four configurations: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, allowing users to choose based on their needs.
On the software side, the phone runs MagicOS 9 based on Android 15.
The Honor Play 80 includes a 13MP rear camera designed for standard photography. On the front, it features a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The device is equipped with a 5,300mAh battery, offering extended usage for daily activities. It supports 15W wired charging. Pricing details have not been disclosed.
