The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has taken another step toward 5G preparedness by holding a comprehensive technical training session in collaboration with Rohde and Schwarz at its headquarters in Islamabad.
The program included detailed technical sessions covering network testing, 5G migration, methodologies and standards, analytics, and time division duplex measurements. The sessions were delivered by experts from Rohde and Schwarz Pakistan, the company’s MENA team, and trainers from Europe.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Khawar Siddiq Khokhar, Member Compliance and Enforcement at PTA, highlighted the authority’s long standing partnership with Rohde and Schwarz and appreciated the role of Managing Director Haris Ali along with international experts.
He reiterated PTA’s commitment to compliance, transparency, and consumer-centric regulation as Pakistan moves toward next-generation telecom infrastructure.
According to the authority, the training focused on aligning local testing methodologies with global best practices and strengthening regulatory oversight.
