Lt. (Retd) Sohail Ashraf Formally Appointed CDA Chairman to Replace Randhawa

The Federal Cabinet has approved the summary for the appointment of Lieutenant (Retd.) Sohail Ashraf as the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Following this approval, a notification was issued by the Establishment Division, stating that Sohail Ashraf has been appointed as the Chairman of the CDA Board under Section 6(2) of the Capital Development Authority Ordinance, 1960, with immediate effect and until further orders.

Previously, the federal government had removed Mohammad Ali Randhawa and appointed Sohail Ashraf as the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad.

With this new appointment, Sohail Ashraf will hold both key positions Chief Commissioner of Islamabad and Chairman of CDA. This move consolidates both important roles under one individual.
