PCB Grants NOCs to 4 Pakistani Players for County Cricket and T20 League

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No-Objection Certificates (NOC) to four players for overseas commitments in England during the 2026 season.

Sufiyan Muqeem, Mohammad Nawaz, and Usama Mir have been cleared to take part in the Vitality T20 Blast, while pacer Mohammad Abbas has received permission for multiple county stints with Derbyshire.

Sufiyan Muqeem’s NOC runs from May 22 to June 7, giving him a short window in the competition. Nawaz and Usama, however, have been granted longer availabilities, which could allow them to feature in a much larger part of the tournament.

Abbas has been given separate windows across April, May, June, and again from August to late September. The staggered schedule suggests a managed approach to his workload while keeping him involved in county red-ball cricket.

Among the players heading to England, Usama already has Blast experience. He represented Worcestershire in the 2023 edition and impressed with 19 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 7.29. Nawaz and Sufiyan are set for their first appearances in the competition.

The 2026 Vitality Blast gets underway on May 22 and will continue until July 18.

All three spinners cleared for the Blast are currently playing in the ongoing 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11). Sufiyan is part of Peshawar Zalmi, Nawaz is with Multan Sultans, while Usama Mir is featuring for Lahore Qalandars.
