Punjab Govt Orders Crackdown on LPG Overpricing

The Punjab government has decided to launch a crackdown against LPG dealers selling gas at inflated prices.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed relevant departments to ensure the sale of LPG at the prices set by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

Under the orders, authorities will take strict action against those found charging higher rates for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) than the official price.

The chief minister said the government is making efforts to provide maximum relief to citizens, adding that no one will be allowed to increase public difficulties by overcharging for essential commodities.
