The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has postponed examinations scheduled for April 9 and 10 at three examination centers in Islamabad due to ongoing diplomatic activities in the federal capital.

According to an official notification, the decision was taken following instructions from authorities amid heightened security and official engagements in the city.

Affected examination centers

The affected centers include:

  • Islamabad Model School for Boys G-6/4 (Centre A – 1296)
  • Islamabad Model School for Boys G-6/4 (Centre B – 9133)

Two-day public holiday declared

A day earlier, the Islamabad District Administration declared a two-day public holiday in the Islamabad Capital Territory in connection with upcoming diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran.

According to a notification issued by the Office of the District Magistrate, Thursday and Friday have been declared local holidays across the capital’s revenue limits.

However, essential services, including hospitals, will remain operational, while citizens have been advised to plan their activities accordingly.
