International Flights Gradually Returning to Normal in Pakistan

Flight operations at Pakistan’s airports have started returning to normal following a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, easing disruptions caused by regional airspace restrictions.

Airspace closures over Iraq, Syria, Kuwait and Qatar have been lifted, allowing airlines to gradually resume international flights, particularly on Gulf routes. Sources said flights from Lahore and other major cities to Gulf destinations have restarted, with airlines working on updated schedules to restore regular operations.

At Lahore Airport, flights operated to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Bahrain, along with additional services to Doha, Jeddah, Dammam and Kuwait. Islamabad Airport handled eight flights to Gulf destinations, while Karachi recorded 18 such flights. Peshawar and Multan also resumed operations, with six and four flights respectively.

Airport authorities said full restoration of flight operations may take time as some airspace restrictions remain in place in parts of the region. Over the past 40 days, more than 3,000 flights were canceled due to the conflict, significantly disrupting international travel.
