The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced temporary load management in parts of its service area, citing a gap between electricity demand and supply.
In an advisory issued to consumers, LESCO said it is implementing short-duration load management in certain areas to maintain system stability.
The company said fluctuations in demand and limited available supply have made these measures necessary to ensure smooth functioning of the power distribution network. LESCO stated that the load management is temporary and will be discontinued once the supply-demand situation improves.
The utility requested consumers to cooperate during the period and expressed regret over the inconvenience caused. It added that the measures are aimed at maintaining a stable and balanced electricity distribution system.
