Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Strong Air Super 1.5 HP air conditioner in China, expanding its smart home product lineup.
The unit is priced at $395 and will be available for purchase on JD.com starting April 28.
The air conditioner is equipped with a 13cc dual-cylinder compressor, which improves low-frequency stability by 30% and reduces noise by 5%.
It also includes dual-row pure copper evaporators and condensers. The condenser offers a 75% larger heat exchange area, designed to improve both cooling and heating efficiency.
The Mijia Strong Air features an upgraded airflow system with a 118mm large-diameter fan and dual air deflectors, delivering airflow of up to 900m³/h.
According to Xiaomi, the unit can cool a room in 15 seconds and heat it in 30 seconds. It also offers canopy-style cooling to avoid direct airflow and carpet-style heating for improved comfort.
The system is built to operate in extreme conditions, supporting cooling at temperatures up to 55°C and heating at temperatures as low as -15°C.
The air conditioner carries a super level 1 energy rating and an APF of 6.01. Xiaomi said the unit can save up to 344 kWh of electricity annually using its Lingyun energy-saving algorithm.
The device integrates with Xiaomi’s HyperOS Connect ecosystem and includes an AI module for enhanced control. It supports OTA updates, cloud-based self-diagnostics for maintenance, and integration with other smart home devices. Voice control is also supported.
Xiaomi designed the unit with a minimal appearance. The indoor unit measures 865 x 330 x 219 mm and weighs 11.5 kg, while the outdoor unit measures 852 x 565 x 331 mm and weighs 27 kg.
It supports both vertical and horizontal swing modes, includes a self-cleaning function with high-temperature sterilization up to 58°C, and features an anti-cold air function.
