The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a temporary reduction in electricity generation due to the ongoing international petroleum crisis, leading to load management across its service areas.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, the global rise in petroleum prices and supply chain disruptions have impacted power generation, forcing the company to implement scheduled load shedding in both urban and rural regions.
Officials stated that electricity outages of equal duration are being carried out across all areas as required to manage the shortfall. The load management schedule has been made available on the company’s official website for public convenience.
IESCO management apologized for the inconvenience caused to consumers, describing the situation as temporary and urging citizens to cooperate during the challenging period.
Customers have been advised to contact the helpline 118 for further information regarding outages and schedules.

Ironic considering net metering helped everyone. They reduced the benefit while allowing fuel plants to charge as much as they want
Iesco regularly uploads the scheduled loadshedding due to maintenance on their website. There is no mentioning of the so called temperory loadshedding. They better keep a proper schedule as it gets difficult for elderly to manage their lives.
This is pure nonsense and torture for the people. In my area in the twin cities, there was a load shedding of four hours at different times of the day today. I am talking of the day time only. One does not know the hours of load shedding at night. In some societies where the richer and more influential people live, there is no load shedding. They call it temporary, how temporary, none knows. The oil crisis might stay on. Instead of saving electricity through other means, they are testing the people’s patience. The nation is asleep, and when it wakes up, it claps to praise the so-called diplomatic efforts of the government to resolve Iran-USA differences, and sleeps again. There is zero governance in the country.
Unfortunately we are living in Pakistan . Where we got this type of management who give hard way to live there Tex payer . I never heard they don’t get salary becouse of petroleum prices etc. Sham on you
Why the problem is only with IESCO? If there is a power shortage then it should be all over the country.
