Karachi to Get Slight Relief from Heat This Week

Karachi is likely to see some relief from heat in the coming days as weather conditions begin to stabilize, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

PMD spokesperson Anjum Nazir said the city experienced a hot day on April 12, with temperatures reaching 39.5°C due to northeasterly winds.

He said sea breezes have since resumed, which will help moderate temperatures. Over the next 8 to 10 days, no intense heatwave conditions are expected, with temperatures likely to remain around 35°C.

He added that temperatures may drop slightly by 1 to 2 degrees on April 16 due to cloud cover, although no rainfall is expected in the city.

The spokesperson said a western weather system will enter the country from April 16 and is expected to mainly affect northern regions. He said the system may bring strong winds and light rain to parts of upper Sindh, including Larkana, between April 16 and 18.
