Multan Sultans have granted a three-day break to both local and overseas players during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), offering the squad a short pause in the middle of the tournament.
According to team officials, foreign players were allowed to travel to Dubai for rest and recovery. Among those who departed are Steve Smith, Ashton Turner, and Peter Siddle, as part of workload management during a demanding league schedule.
Local players Arafat Minhas and M. Shahzad have also been released temporarily to spend time with their families, supporting a balance between professional commitments and personal well-being.
The decision comes as Multan Sultans, performing strongly in PSL 11, look to refresh their squad ahead of upcoming fixtures, including a clash against Karachi Kings.
The squad is scheduled to regroup on April 16, when preparations will resume. Multan Sultans are set to face Karachi Kings on April 19 in an important league fixture that could influence standings as the competition progresses.
In a separate development, Sam Billings of RawalPindiz, who had taken a short break, has returned and rejoined the squad after three days. His return adds depth and experience ahead of the next phase of matches.
