Peshawar Zalmi have officially secured a place in the playoffs of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) after results confirmed their top-four finish.
Peshawar Zalmi currently sit at the top of the eight-team standings with 13 points from seven matches. Their playoff qualification was confirmed following Quetta Gladiators’ six-wicket win over Lahore Qalandars at the National Bank Stadium.
The Gladiators’ victory ensured that Zalmi’s 13-point tally can no longer be surpassed by the fourth-placed team by the end of the league stage.
Peshawar Zalmi began their PSL 11 campaign with a five-wicket win over debutants RawalPindiz in a high-scoring match. Their next fixture against Islamabad United was washed out due to rain in Lahore.
The former champions then built strong momentum, registering consecutive victories over Hyderabad Kingsmen, Karachi Kings, defending champions Qalandars, Multan Sultans, and the Gladiators. These wins helped them consolidate their position at the top of the table.
Zalmi will next face the Gladiators again on Sunday at the same venue. They will then travel to Lahore, where they are scheduled to play the Kings on April 22 and Qalandars on April 25.
Despite Peshawar Zalmi securing their playoff spot, the competition for the remaining positions remains open. All seven other teams are still in contention for the playoffs.
Islamabad United, three-time PSL champions, are currently second with nine points from seven matches, while the 2021 winners Multan Sultans follow closely with eight points, having played one match less.
