Prices of essential food items have surged sharply, leaving citizens struggling to manage daily expenses amid weak enforcement of official rates.
Milk and yogurt prices, in particular, have exceeded government-fixed limits, with shopkeepers reportedly charging higher rates across markets.
According to sources, the official price of milk is set at Rs170 per liter. However, it is being sold on the open market for Rs200-Rs240 per liter.
Similarly, yogurt prices have also risen significantly, with rates ranging from Rs220 to Rs250 per kilogram.
Residents have called on the administration to take immediate notice of the situation and launch strict action against profiteers.
Citizens stressed the need for effective implementation of official price controls to provide relief and ensure fair pricing in the market.

maybe government is preparing cosmetic procedures.
