The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 143rd consecutive day on Monday.
Meanwhile, it posted gains against most of the other major currencies during today’s session.
The PKR closed at 278.91 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today.
Markets are closely reviewing current regional developments as the US-Iran ceasefire nears its end on Wednesday, April 22. The US team is arriving in Pakistan today, but Iran has yet to send one itself due to a bit too aggressive demands set by Donald Trump.
Other Currencies
PKR was stable against both the UAE Dirham (AED) and also the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
Meanwhile, it gained 57 paisas against the British Pound (GBP) and 64 paisas against the Euro (EUR).
