Govt Announces Another Depressing Increase in Petrol and Diesel Prices

The federal government on Friday approved a big increase in diesel and petrol prices for the next seven days.

The Prime Minister has sanctioned an increase of Rs. 26.77 per litre in the price of diesel and Rs. 26.77 per litre for petrol. Following the approval, the price of diesel will now be Rs. 380.19 per litre and petrol Rs. 393.35 per litre.

Officials further confirmed that implementation of the new prices will be carried out effective immediately on Saturday, April 25th.

The government, last week, decreased diesel by Rs. 32.12 per litre but kept petrol at Rs. 366.58 per litre, only changing HSD prices downwards to Rs. 353.43 per litre.
