“PTA taxes” for importing older and used mobile phones in Pakistan have increased for a few brands, including Samsung, OnePlus, Apple, and Google. This is due to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) increasing the customs value used to determine import taxes on these phones.

Yesterday i checked for Samsung S23 ultra SM918B model. PTA Tax for this model is 164065
These are taxes for importers, not PTA approval charges
So first you pay Imoirt tax and then you pay PTA duty? BTW what is the logic of PTA charging a tax?
